Startrax White Top Challenge

The Startrax White-Top Challenge has been running for three seasons now but has recently received a boost in prestige, thanks to generous sponsorship from Glen and Bev Scott at Oak Head Caravan Park, Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria.

The series now carries a perpetual trophy in the form of a shield kindly provided by Glen and Bev, this was presented to the 2017 winner – 755 Stuart Simpson – at the BriSCA F2 Benevolent Fund Awards evening in January.

As in previous years, the series is open to any White-Top driver who holds a full licence and who races at a Startrax promoted F2 meeting during the season while graded as a white-top. Drivers score normal grading points plus 1 attendance point for each meeting they race at.

Although drivers may only score points while graded as a white-top, for the series final any driver who has scored points will be eligible, irrespective of any higher grade they may have attained since.

The series final, scheduled for Belle Vue on Bank Holiday Monday 27 August, will consist of a maximum of the top 20 drivers from the final points table who are present at the meeting.

The series final race will pay championship prize money all the way down to tenth place.

The 2018 series gets underway at the Startrax meeting at Stoke on Saturday 10 March.
