28th July

On this day in 1990, the Scottish Championship produced one of the most remarkable races in the history of BriSCA F2, as just four cars went the distance.  The race had absolutely everything, including a rollover for NI 40 Davy McCrory, and a battle for the lead between Scottish stars 7 Jimmy Moodie and 33 Keith Stanford that ended with the pair tangling and latter rolling over and catching fire.  That left long time leader 251 Alistair Forsyth back in front, and he saw out the remaining stages to take the title.  Dunfermline Athletic manager and football personality, Jim Leishman, made the presentations.
