Numbers & Averages:-

253 drivers raced in the third grading period of 2017, which contained 26 meetings.  The average car attendance across the 23 U.K. mainland meetings was 24.22 and there were 55 different race winners.  In total, 334 drivers have raced in the 2017 season to date.

The Best Attended Meetings for the Period were:-

Mildenhall 10 Jun – 54 cars,  Taunton 21 May – 49 cars, Belle Vue 29 May – 42 cars, Taunton 20 Jun – 41 cars, St. Day 18 Jun – 36 cars, Taunton 29 May – 32 cars.

Drivers with the Best Attendance Record for the Period were:-

2017 Novice Of The Year

The Novice of the Year is open to ‘genuine’ novices, i.e. those who are in their first BriSCA F2 season and who started the season with a white roof.  The novice who has scored the most national points at the end of the season will be the winner of the Novice of the Year title.

Current standings:

629 – 626pts, 142 – 300pts, 325 – 39pts, 398 – 13pts, 660 – 5pts, 113 – 4pts, 819 – 4pts, 540 – 3pt, 71 – 2pts, 222 – 2pts, 348 – 2pts, 614 – 1pt.

The winner will be presented with the Novice of the Year trophy at the NEC in January 2018.  The runner-up and the third place finisher will also receive trophies at that time.

David’s Observations

·        These grades will come into force on 1 July 2017.  The next grading period of season 2017 will run from 21 June to 20 July inclusive.

·        In order to be eligible for downgrading on 1 August 2017, you must race a minimum of three times between 21 June and 20 July and also have raced at least once between 21 May and 20 June.

·        International drivers are shown on the grading list solely for information purposes.  Their positions have no effect on grades.  Points, appearances etc., are from meetings attended, that are on the National Fixture List.
