310 drivers raced in the final grading period of 2009, which contained 34 meetings. The average car attendance across the 31 British meetings was 32.84 and there were 63 different race winners. In total, 514 different drivers have raced this season.  

The Best Attended Meetings for the Period were:-
Birmingham 7 Nov – 61 cars, Birmingham 17 Oct – 55 cars, Scunthorpe 7 Nov – 50 cars, Belle Vue 15 Nov – 49 cars, Skegness 8 Nov – 49 cars.  

Drivers with the Best Attendance Record for the Period were:-

McGill Motorsports Novice Of The Year
The Novice of the Year is open to ‘genuine’ novices, i.e. those who are in their first BriSCA F2 season and started the season with a white roof. The novice who has scored the most national points at the end of the season will be the winner of the Novice of the Year title.

The winner will be presented with the Novice of the Year trophy, and the Norman Butcher Trophy, at the NEC in January 2010. The runner-up and the third place finisher will also receive trophies at that time.  

David’s Observations

• These grades will come into force on 1 January 2010. The first grading period of season 2010 will run from 1 March to 15 April inclusive.
• Remember that, in order to be eligible for downgrading on 1 May 2010, you must race a minimum of four times between 1 March and 15 April 2010 and, unless next March you are a first year driver, also have raced at least once between 21 September and 15 November 2009.
• As this is the final grading list of 2009, all the 514 drivers that have raced during the year are included. However, those drivers that are currently inactive owing to retirement or suspension are shown with an asterisk after their name or number.
• International drivers are shown on the grading list solely for information purposes. Their positions have no effect on grades. Points, appearances etc., are from meetings attended, that are on the National Fixture List.
