WCQRs – GN Points to Count

From the 2023 season, points scored in Grand National races at World Championship Qualifying Rounds (WCQRs) will be counted towards a driver’s total in the World Championship Semi-Final qualifying points table (in addition to points gained in Heat/Cons/Final races).

There is no change to the system of counting a driver’s best 5 WCQR meeting scores to calculate their total qualifying points, nor the counting of attendance points from all rounds attended (5 points per round).

As is currently the case, race winners at WCQRs will start in their drawn position for the meeting Final, but must start at the rear of their grade for all other races at that WCQR, e.g. further heats in an “all-in” format, and the GN race (as per Regulation 80).
