Venray World Cup Driver Info Reminder

The Raceway Venray driver information sheet has been emailed to all UK drivers booked to race at the World Cup weekend this coming Saturday/Sunday (19/20 Aug). (Contact the BriSCA F2 Secretary if you have not received this, but are racing at the World Cup meeting.)

The following mandatory requirements for racing at Raceway Venray are highlighted as a reminder to drivers:

Personal Safety Equipment - In addition to the mandated personal safety items required in the UK (helmet, balaclava, gloves, race-suit), the following items are mandatory at Raceway Venray:
  • Flame retardant underwear (undershirt & leggings)
  • Flame retardant socks
  • Flame retardant boots
  • Neck harness (FHR device)

Groundsheet - A ground-sheet under the car to catch any fluid spills is mandatory.

Fire Extinguisher - As in the UK, a minimum 2Kg fire extinguisher must be close at hand in your transporter.

Car RegulationsThe following Venray-Raceway specific regulations apply, as detailed in the BriSCA F2 car construction regulations:
  • 221.02.01 Venray (Netherlands) Only – The use of a water coolant or any water additive is NOT permitted when racing at Raceway Venray. All cars MUST run plain water as the ONLY permitted method of cooling the engine.
  • 222.04.04 Additives – Venray (Netherlands) Only – The use of fuel additives is NOT permitted.
  • 223.02.01 All cars MUST be fitted with the approved BriSCA F2 stainless-steel silencer, with only the following exceptions:
    • Venray (Netherlands) Only – All cars MUST meet a strict MAXIMUM 90dB noise limit at all times, measured according to local standards. The use of 2 approved BriSCA F2 silencers, OR, one approved large HGS silencer is permitted in order to conform to the stated noise limit.
Insurance - Drivers are also reminded that in order for UK drivers' BriSCA F2 personal insurance to apply when racing overseas, they MUST inform the secretary in writing, prior to racing of their number, intended race dates and track.
