778 Colin Higman RIP

BriSCA F2 is saddened to hear of the passing of legendary engineer, car-constructor and double World Champion, #778 Colin Higman. 

A renowned innovator, and the father of BriSCA F2 customer car construction, many a driver owes their on-track success to the output from Higman's Menheniot workshop.

Higman claimed back to back World titles:1975 at Bristol, and successfully defending the following year at St.Austell. Fifteen years later he went on to win the European title at Nutts Corner, while the F2 Challenge trophy came his way in '76 and '87, both at Newton Abbot. 1976 was a stellar year, with Higman also adding the Grand National Championship at St.Day to his haul of silverware. Higman was a star on the domestic front too with 81 Final wins to his credit, putting him 15th on the all-time wins list.
