#183 Charlie Guinchard has become the inaugural winner of the National Points Series (NPS) Championship, earning the right to wear the silver roof in 2026, following the conclusion of the 40-round series at the Gala Championship meeting held at Hednesford Hills Raceway this past Sunday afternoon. Guinchard had mathematically clinched the series a week earlier at Odsal Stadium, Bradford, with his fifth place finish in the World of Shale Final, while #7 Gordon Moodie, the holder of a record 13 silver-roof titles, had cemented himself in the runner-up spot. However, the battle for the third position went down to the last points-scoring race of the season. #647 Chris Burgoyne came in to the meeting trailing #213 Tom Bennett who had taken the spot at Bradford with a brace of top-3 finishes, however, entering the all-comers race at the end of the day just a point behind, the Scotsman drove to a 7th place finish, scoring just enough to leap-frog Bennett and clinch the position.
